Walnut table featuring a wide pedestal base with incised vertical lines. Circular top with beautifully figured wood and elegant outside lip. This table was custom made for a home in Milano that featured many Borsani pieces and is believed to have also been designed by him. h. 21.5 diam. 35"

Very good original condition. Some scuffs to wood finish, but overall very nice.

“Reclining Nude” Low Table by Philip & Kelvin LaVerne USA, c. 1972
A unique variant of a very rare form. Cast mixed metals with an unusual black and gold-metal finish. Although this piece is not from a numbered edition, the LaVernes never produced more than 6 examples of any cast design. This is the first example to come on the market of a LaVerne cast piece that was not executed in bronze. h. 16” w. 56” d. 31”
Condition: The base is in excellent original condition, having only been recently cleaned and maintaining its original finish. The glass top is newly made using the original template.

“Generation,” Sculptural Table by Philip & Kelvin LaVerne USA c. 1964
One of only two examples ever made of this table. An extraordinary sculptural creation, exploring several of the techniques the LaVernes were known to employ. Two cast bronze figures, connected at bottom and mid-point by abstract bronze base and table top. The cast elements were done with a lost wax method. Both flat planes have beautiful torched surfaces.
