Rosanne Sniderman (b. 1964) artist, ceramist, sculptor

Rosanne Sniderman is a contemporary American ceramic sculptor with a highly distinctive, formal style. Drawing from a range of influences, she explores form, scale, surface, and context in sensual ceramic pieces that invite physical touch, evoking analogy to the human body and other organic forms. Her ceramics share formal traits with varying works, from pre-Columbian pottery to 20th century pieces by Henry Moore. The striking forms present exciting possibilities for both indoor and outdoor spaces, each one a timeless affirmation of nature’s sensuality. The garden is, in fact, a context to which Sniderman gives considerable thought, in keeping with centuries-old ceramic traditions, while the more abstract aspect of her work has equal footing in the realm of fine art. A former apprentice of renowned American ceramist Betty Woodman, New England-based Sniderman has been exhibiting nationwide since 1990. Donzella LTD is pleased to be her exclusive representative.
