Carved sandstone. Interpreted from the Ballet Russes production of Gisèlle. Signed & dated by the artist on the lower rear. Small chip to front edge. Claude-Levy worked primarily for Primavera and was known for her figural ceramic sculptures. Very few large carved pieces such as this one were made by her.
