Large-Scale pair of Polyhedri Sconces by Paolo Venini for Venini Italy c. 1958
Beautiful and large fixtures with textured blown glass. Abstract diamond forms with faceted sides hanging from multi-armed interior frame, with 9 standard size Edison sockets per sconce. The Polyhedri series was designed by Paolo Venini and originally introduced in 1957. h. 37.5" w. 24" d. 14"
Very good original condition. All sockets and wires have recently been replaced. Some small cracks and chips to a few glass pieces. Nothing that detracts from the overall look.

Hand-built Sculptures by Giovanni Barbera Italy 1930
Studio-built, earthenware sculptures depicting a young man & woman. Roughly textured and beautifully stylized. Signed and dated by the artist. Barbera lived and worked in Palermo and was very active in the anti-fascist artist movement in Sicily. Each sculpture is signed "Barbera XI." This Roman numeral references the 11th year of the fascist government, dating these sculptures at 1930. *Publication references available.
Very good condition, with some chips and nicks to surface. Also, discoloration and one visible repair.

Green & white painted metal structure with polished brass mounts & circular stone base. 3 up-lights inside brass cups with standard Edison sockets. 6 down-lights with candelabra sockets inside frosted glass shades. Original brass floor switch. h. 83" diam 24" base diam. 14"
Excellent original condition. All wiring and sockets have been recently changed. 2 very small chips to stone base, and some flaking to paint.
Unusual model with oxidized brass and black painted metal elements. 4 frosted glass globes set at alternating heights. Each globe conceals 1 standard sized Edison socket. White marble base. h. 66" w. 23" d. 23" base diameter 10"

Tall pole lamp with 5 articulating gray cone shades with cut-outs. Thick circular marble base with floor switch. Lacquered & nickeled metal structure. Each cone conceals one Edison socket. h. 76" diam. 24"
Macassar ebony frame with dome top and architectural footed base. The styling and heft of this piece strongly represents the design work born out of the Fascist movement happening in Italy at this time. Beautiful filigrana glass globe with a pale pink hue. Oxidized brass mounts and cone, & one standard sized socket. The chain was added later and can be removed to decrease the overall drop. h. 42" diam. 9"
