Beautifully shaped satin glass shades, each concealing one standard sized socket. Black & red lacquered metal caps to each shade, and center brass "x" form suspended between the descending cords. A very unusual model. h. 48" w. 25" d. 11"

Untitled Owls by Constantin Antonovici France/USA 1955
Modernist owl forms of cast stone. Signed and dated by the artist, with an inscription to the recipient of the sculptures. Antonovici is said to have been the closest and most favored student of Constantin Brancusi while he was living and working in Paris. Antonivici came to the USA in 1951 and worked here in NYC until his death in 2002.
